Hines UK acquired Stonecutter Court in March 2011 on behalf of Hines Global REIT. Hines UK saw an opportunity to acquire a Grade A office asset in an improving location within Central London which provides lease re-gearing or possibly long-term refurbishment potential. Stonecutter Court is a Grade A office leased to Deloitte as part of their central London campus on a lease expiring in 2019. The acquisition comprises an island site including two small adjoining assets. The micro-location is undergoing significant infrastructure improvements with the arrival of Farringdon Crossrail station, which will become one of central London's busiest rail terminals upon completion. Goldman Sachs' new European headquarters will be developed on the adjacent site.
